Best Investing Movies on Netflix

To those of you who are current Netflix subscribers and are looking for the best investing movies on Netflix to watch, make sure to watch the ones in my “Instant Queue”

Although it seems harder to find good movies at Netflix after being a subscriber for a long time, this are some of the best movies in Investing out there to boost your passion for the stock market. Let me know what you think or if I’m missing some interesting ones.

1.Margin Call

This is by far one of my favorite movies portraying the 2008 market crash. It all starts when an analyst within the company finds information that could destroy the whole company prior to the 2008 crash. The drama unveils from that point on.

Featuring: Kevin Spacey and Paul Bettany.

2.The Bank

A young and brilliant mathematician Jim Doyle may have found the answer to predicting the stock market’s movements, but he has a dark past he has to finish first. This movie has a twisted ending make sure to watch it all.

3.Rogue Trader

This movie portrays the life of Nick Leeson and how he broke one of the oldest banks of England. Evan Mcgregor stars as a futures trader and starts leveraging money to produce bigger returns. The temptation to fall into high-risk financial activities arises and eventually ended collapsing the bank.

4.Trading Places

This is one of the oldest movies on Wall Street. It is a comedy starred by Edie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd you need to watch. Eddie Murphy plays a city bum and trades paces with one of the most respected investing executives in Manhattan. What they don’t realize is that the Duke’s brothers cooked this whole plot.

6.End of the Road

One of my favorite documentaries with the interviews of many financial analysts and well-known economist talking about possible market collapses in the future. This documentary shows a bear perspective in the economy, but some good advice comes out of it. It’s a must watch documentary.

7.Casino Jack

Slick lobbyist Jack Abramoff lands deep in a political corruption scandal after bilking millions from Indian tribes. Greed and vanity catch up to the charismatic Abramoff in the form of the mob, the media and the law. This is not too much a Wall Street Movie but it is a great film too watch about money and power.

8.Park Avenue: Money, Power and the American Dream

This documentary portrays the huge gap it exists in Park Avenue New York. In one side you have the highest concentration of Wall Street Billionaires and on the other one of the poorest streets in New York.

We will keep you updated when more movies come to Netflix (They usually come and go according to demand).

      Hi Shaun,

That movie is called Wall Street: Money never sleeps, which is a sequel to the movie Wall Street (1987).
Unfortunately that movie and the first one of Wall Street are not shown on Netflix. If you have time find the movie Wall Street (1987) and watch it. That movie deserves the #1 spot in my list.
